The Full Trailer for Rockabilly Zombie Weekend Crawls from the Grave ::: FUNNY

The full trailer for Rockabilly Zombie Weekend has arrived, and it's chock-full of everything you need to help you cope with your Thursday morning. Is this undead fix exactly what it takes to send your morning into overdrive? It certainly couldn't hurt!

Jaime Velez Soto directs. J. LaRose, Christina Bach, Randy Molnar, and Benedict Larmore star.

When Becky and Grant arrive at their rockabilly-themed wedding, despite warnings of a West Nile Virus outbreak, things go horribly wrong as the mosquito-spread virus spawns zombies, who begin feeding on the wedding guests as well as the other locals. The two newlyweds have to escape along with their family and friends if they ever want to live to see their honeymoon!

My comment: Movie should be called PSYCHOBILLY ZOMBIE WEEKEND :)

Los Wild Ones!!!

Information taken from:

Wowee!!!  I just returned from a whirlwind trip to Phoenix, AZ, and boy are my....  I guess I can't use that one because we drove a rented Sentra.  The wacky wagon has provided semi-reliable transport to many of our adventures but I just didn't trust it to not konk out on the side of the highway in the middle of the desert; as the saying goes, "Ain't nobody got time for that."

The very last thing that I needed to do was rent a car and spend any money on an adventure weekend, but Los Wild Ones, the documentary film about Wild Records, the label on which Mary is set to record this week, premiered at the Phoenix Film Festival.  Such a great opportunity to catch a wonderful film filled with familiar faces, and get a chance to explore all the wacky tacky that the greater Phoenix area has to offer, I simply could not refuse.

The film's world premier was a few weeks ago at SXSW in Austin, TX.
The poster makes me laugh because as soon as it was posted on the "Los
Wild Ones" Facebook page, Reb Kennedy, the founder of Wild Records
commented, "Can't wait to see the real poster???" and "Is this for a
 1980s Elvis movie?"  Priceless.

The film centers on the complex dynamic between Reb Kennedy and the talented, young stable of musicians he has signed to his Los Angeles-based record label, Wild Records.  It addresses the paternal nature of his relationship with many of his proteges and his stubborn resistance to embrace modern media in building the label.  Covering moments of heartbreaking vulnerability and exhilarating live performance, Los Wild Ones is, at its core, a film about people earnestly pursuing the thing they love most - music.

Little Richard headlines at Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend

The 2013 Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend at The Orleans featured music legend headliner Little Richard, vintage automobiles, burlesque stars and pin-up girl contests, and contributing photographer Scott Harrison was onsite for a photo gallery of Little Richard on Saturday night, while videographer Richard Corey captured the pin-up contest and Little Richard in a video posted on YouTube.

Corey’s video includes 2011 Playboy Playmate of the Year and “Pin Up” at the Stratosphere headliner Claire Sinclair as a judge, the 12 contestants of the Miss Viva Las Vegas Pin-Up Contest and the winner from Australia and Little Richard singing “Good Golly, Miss Molly.”

According to Corey, Little Richard talked about breaking his hip a few years ago. Because of his age (80), doctors said that he can’t survive an operation, so he no longer walks. He told the crowd how lucky he is to still be alive and able to sing. He performed for about an hour, played all his hits and after each song talked to the crowd about his life and band members.
